The Motor Speech Committee is working to expand the committee with new motivated people and increase global diversity. The committee is also working on strengthening communication between committee members through monthly/bi-monthly meetings and motivating members to collaborate on a cross-cultural and cross-linguistic research project in the field of motor speech disorders, which is planned to be presented at the next IALP World Congress in 2025.

Dr Dora Knežević was born in the vibrant city of Split, Croatia. She describes the people of Croatia as loud and outspoken Mediterranean people, so her love of speech began early and continued at the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences. Her involvement in university life extended beyond the classroom. Through her participation in athletic events, volunteer initiatives, conferences, and summer courses, she supported her faculty and continues to do so today. She is most proud of the Logomotiva Speech-Language Pathology Student Association, which she co-founded with students in 2019 and still actively mentors and supports. Her primary scientific interests revolve around speech sound disorders and motor speech disorders in children, areas in which she actively collaborates with other professionals from Croatian and international institutions. She transfers all her scientific findings into her clinical work at the Centre for Rehabilitation, a clinical unit within the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences.
